There is already plenty on your mind before you travel. Finding somewhere to leave your car should feel simple.
That is why we created Comparkly: to help you compare and book airport parking with confidence, while bringing you closer to the people who welcome you before your journey begins.
Our story began long before the first booking.
I grew up in Belgium, with a passion for programming and a curiosity about business. I wanted to understand how things worked, and build things that people would find useful.
That curiosity took me to Business & Decision in Brussels, where I began my career as a consultant. Later, it brought me to Lausanne, Switzerland, to work with an amazing team at BOBST, building a new connected technology solution from scratch.
Those five years shaped me as an engineer. They also gave me the confidence to take the next step: building a company of my own.
I moved to Morocco and founded JADEV, helping businesses turn their ideas into digital products. Alongside that work, I wanted to create our own solutions: products we could keep improving and put our hearts into over the years.
Comparkly grew out of that ambition. But its roots were closer to home.
An idea my wife and I wanted to bring to life.
One of my first freelance jobs in Brussels involved working as a subcontractor for a large car rental company. Years later, developing software for clients in the parking industry brought me back to a world I already felt connected to.
Through that work, my wife and I began to see an opportunity.
Choosing airport parking means trusting someone with your car while you are away. You want to understand your options, know what to expect when you arrive, and feel comfortable with your decision.
On the other side of that booking are people running parking businesses, welcoming travellers and organising the services that help them reach the airport.
We wanted to build something that brought those two sides closer together.
That idea became Comparkly.
